Zoe Daniel is the artist behind Wormwood and Honey. She earned degrees in both Scientific Illustration and Art Education from the University of Georgia. After graduating in 2016 she spent 3 years teaching art to elementary students in Athens, Ga.

While teaching Zoe continued to create artwork at a local studio. Finding herself spending more time at the studio than at her home, she ended up building her own studio out of her garage. In summer of 2019 she became a full time potter and officially launched Wormwood and Honey Pottery. The name is inspired by Roald Dahl’s Matilda and Zoe’s love of bees.

Zoe’s pottery is all functional and one of a kind. She spends hours on each piece hand carving detailed drawings into the clay. Utilizing her scientific illustration skills she creates pieces inspired by pollinators and the gardens they are found in. Zoe believes art should be used to spread awareness on things you care about and she cares about saving the bees. A portion of profits from all of her sales are donated to the Honeybee Conservancy.
